A super strike by Steve Hawse and a cool piece of finishing by Kevin Ellison ended the Mariners' resistance, and although Phil Power added a fourth in stoppage time, Altrincham had enough clear chances to have doubled their final tally.
With resources stretched to the limit through injuries, ex-Liverpool Steve Porter was drafted in at left back and acquitted himself well in Danny Adams' former berth.
Starting Phil Power up front alongside Richard Landon paid dividends with the wily fox holding the ball up and bringing Ellison into play to good effect.

Robins recieve Emley on Saturday, having notched up seven goals in their last two matches. Not bad for a team missing three strikers and having just sold the reigning player of the year.
