A TRAFFORD based casting company is looking for locals to rub shoulders with the stars of a brand new film about pop legend John Lennon.
The Janet Howe Agency wants extras to appear in In His Life, a biopic about one of the greatest songwriters of all time.
Janet says they have vacancies for people aged 16 to 80 and novice actors are welcome to attend a giant audition in Liverpool on September 20.
"The first day is a big village fete so we're looking for lots of people who could be mums and dads or aunts and uncles. We're looking for quite a wide range of people, but we obviously want a lot of youngsters."
She wants the younger extras to grow their hair before casting commences, to give them an authentic Sixties look. All performers will receive a fee and Janet says negotiations are currently under way to determine the exact amount.
Filming begins on Merseyside on September 24 and will take no more than five weeks.
'People have got to be able to travel and we are looking for people who are 100 per cent reliable', she adds.
Janet usually charges people £25 to join her agency but on this occasion she plans to waive the fee, charging them £5 to cover the cost of their publicity photographs.
The film's makers will use around 1,000 extras and small speaking parts are also available. People with some musical ability are also being encouraged to come forward.
For a registration form, contact the Janet Howe Agency on 233 0700.
