BOBBY Jones was shown the red card on his debut, forcing his Trafford teammates into a spirited rearguard action on Saturday.
The Shawe View men played the second half with 10 ment after Jones dismissal for a handball in the penalty box at league newcomers Vauxhall.
As a result it was probably not surprising they ended losers by four goals to two.
In the early exchanges, both sides cancelled each other out, but it was the visitors who came closest to scoring when Alan Pannett saw his effort hit the post after a mazy run by Gareth Thomas.
Moments later, Mark Molyneaux had to receive lengthy treatment after a collision with an opponent.
Then the Shawe View men took a 36th minute lead, Pannett heading home Jones cross.
The Motormen drew level seconds before the interval, when Youngs header was handled on the line by Jones, who promptly received his marching orders. Nesbitt converted the spot kick.
Undaunted by this, Trafford regained the lead within 20 seconds of the second half, when Chris Patterson struck with a stunning 35 yard left foot shot.
The home side levelled within minutes, with Young scoring from a Fisher cross.
On the hour, the Motormens extra man advantage began to tell as they took the lead for the first time, through Lacy.
To their credit, Trafford rallied in search of an equaliser, but went further behind in the final minute, as Welton headed home past Molyneaux, with the keeper struggling with his injury sustained earlier.
Trafford team: Molyneaux, Turner, Bates, Southwood, McCartney, Jones, Diaczuk, Patterson, Emmett, Pannett, Thomas. Subs: Dowle, Quick, Bibby.
