TWO men wanted for questioning about frauds fled from their Hale home after being exposed on the last Crimewatch show hosted by Jill Dando.
Stephen Lowe, 46, and Wayne Cope, 35, fled from their flat above the 'Manchester Miniatures' shop they ran in Altrincham Road, Hale, selling dolls' houses and miniature furniture.
Neighbours rang Crimewatch tipping off detectives and so police swooped on the flat - but the two men had already disappeared.
Detectives want to speak to them over a string of fraud and deception allegations in areas including Bedfordshire and London.
Lowe is on the run after escaping from prison while serving a six years sentence for fraud. He has used the surname Cope and also the names Gary Hurt, Andy Cummins and Andrew Smith. Cope has used the surnames Gadd and Jacobs.
It is believed the pair may now be in Birmingham - anyone with information should call 01234 275328.
