BROOKLANDS' assault on the new Cheshire County Premier League started at the second time of asking when they entertained Chester Broughton Hall at Georges Road.
Batting first, Brooklands struggled to score runs with new boy Chris Brown top scoring on his debut with 38.
Chris Gresty with 29 was the only other real contributer as Brooklands struggled to 121-9 declared.
As was so often the case last year, the Brooklands bowling attack did an excellent job in containing their opposition.
Yet again it was Rob Bywater who led the way.
His 4-39 helped restrict the visitors to 116-7.
Both the second and third XI's also recorded draws in the respective fixtures.
