AT 4pm on April 6 I was waiting for a bus opposite the Trafford General Hospital and while I was thinking about the cars parked outside the road I was reminded of an incident just a couple of weeks ago when at this very same place I was on a bus which mounted the central reservation in order to avoid the cars alongside the kerb, thus causing quite a disturbance to the passengers.

The driver of the car pressed on regardless of whether any of the passengers were hurt or not.

Well, don't we all have moments of frustration and times when we are not sorry for what has happened, God understands and He is always there to forgive us when we are truly sorry.

However, this afternoon my thoughts were mainly about the owners of the cars parked outside the hospital, even though there was ample room in the car park. Have they no shame? Surely if one can afford a car and all that goes with it, the parking fee is no big deal! This must be a case for the 'sick' visiting the sick within. So much for the National Health.

So come all; Christians, write, and show the world and all its peoples how generous you are; the more you pray the more generous you become and the Lord loves a generous giver. Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.

There are plenty of buses now and the timing will be a lot better when there are no traffic jams. Who knows, we may be able to talk them - the powers that be - into reducing the fares. Walking is an excellent form of exercise.

Let's start to bring back more of the old values which have been for so long forgotten.
