TIME runs out tomorrow (Friday) for local girls and young women with a yen for a model future with Trafford's favourite free newspaper.
The closing date for entries has come around - with more than 30 'wannabe' model misses in the frame for the 1999 Messenger Model Girl title.
The contest - co-sponsored by top Manchester agency PHA Models and Casting Management - offers Trafford's young women aged 16 and over a chance to get a glamorous career on the catwalk off to a flying start.
The 1999 Model Girl will win a full grooming course at the PHA agency and a photographic session to start a portrait portfolio - together worth more than £250.
The runner-up will be offered a grooming course at half price - but more than that both will know that several SAM previous winners have gone on to make big names for themselves.
All the pictures entered will go to PHA after tomorrow's deadline. The directors there will select a shortlist of about a dozen finalists who will be asked to compete in a 'catwalk' competition final at the agency at a date yet to be decided.
Finalists will be asked to parade in both evening wear and swimwear before the Messenger Model Girl winner is chosen by an experienced panel of judges.
