ALL around us are new signs of life. Winter is receding into memory. Shoots have appeared, grown and flowered. An awful summer of 1998 turned into an awful winter - yet creation knew the time and did what it was programmed to do.
Every year we look for the snowdrops, the crocuses and the daffodils. Every year without fail they emerge from the cold soil, new for a new year.
They say that a seed has to die before it can bring forth a new plant in the spring. The old has to make way for the new.
Easter is about new life. Jesus Christ died to make way for us to be with God and it is His resurrection that we celebrate. God has given us the same resurrection life he gave to His son 2,000 years ago.
