CONTINUED expansion and quality specialist services have earned UK & Ireland Insurance Services Limited the latest Trafford 'Pacesetter' prize.
Established in 1993 by James Wrynne, Dermott McMorrow, Joe Donlan and Martin Hoult, the company is now based in Broadheath, Altrincham and also has an associate office in Drumcondra, Ireland.
In its first year of operation, UK & Ireland Insurance Services established a client base within the Greater Manchester area and gained many additional insurance agencies, together with inroads into the London insurance markets.
Over the next few years the company continued to expand and increased its geographical sales area as far as Newcastle in the North and London in the South.
In November 1996 it acquired a local competitor - a subsidiary of a major Dublin based brokerage.
The Drumcondra office, spearheaded by Dermott McMorrow, is looking to tap the rapid industrial growth which is taking place in Ireland at present, particularly with civil engineering companies tendering for work there.
UK & Ireland Insurance Services Ltd are also planning to open a satellite office in Cardiff in the next few months.
The company handles all types of insurance business and specialises in combined liability and motor fleet insurance for the construction and civil engineering industry.
The use of computer technology, with overnight modern updates of insurance rates, allows for rapid quotations on private motor, household, commercial vehicles and small business insurance.
In addition the company can now offer life insurance, pensions and mortgages through its subsidiary company UK & Ireland Life and Pensions Ltd.
