WELLACRE Technology College in Flixton has received an Arts Council of England Artsmark Award.
The award, which recognises schools which have shown great dedication to promoting all forms of art, comes in the form of Artsmark Silver status.
Headmaster of Wellacre Technology College, Ray Howell, said: "I am delighted that the Arts council has recognised Wellacre's progressive, well balanced arts curriculum which enables pupils to benefit from the many varied opportunities on offer to them. For example some of our boys have had the superb chance of performing live at the Bridgewater Hall, MEN Arena and Sale Waterside Centre.
"A big thank you to all the staff in the expressive and performing, arts faculty for they're hard work in achieving this award."
