THE Olympic torch is coming to Trafford on June 24.
It will enter the borough from MediaCity at approximately 6.15am and will travel along Trafford Wharf Road up to the Old Trafford football stadium.
The torch will then cross Chester Road on to Warwick Road, passing Trafford Town Hall. It will then turn left on to Talbot Road and right into Seymour Grove.
Following the Olympic spectacle there will be a series of family friendly events at Lancashire County Cricket Club from 7am to noon.
Activities include sports sessions aimed at families and a breakfast munching world record attempt by Trafford schoolchildren.
Council leader Matt Colledge said: “We hope that people across Trafford will turn up bright and early to celebrate the Olympic torch relay with us. This is an excellent opportunity to cheer the torchbearers and applaud the work they have done to improve life in their neighbourhoods.”
