THE charity Chernobyl Children's Project (UK) is organising a table-top sale to be held on the afternoon of December 12 in the church hall of Altrincham Methodist Church.
The funds raised will go to help provide recuperative holidays in the UK for the children of Belarus who continue to suffer from cancers and other illnesses caused by the Chernobyl nuclear disaster.
The charity will also be organising a tea and cakes stall for the afternoon.
CCP (UK) would like to invite other charities to join them with their own stall, raising funds for their own cause. Whether it be second-hand goods, arts and crafts, a tombola, all are welcome.
If enough charities are interested, the event could become a Christmas charity market and, if successful, could even become an annual event.
Any haities that would like their own stall, or would like further information, should contact Brian Hardwick on 0785 331 7691 or brian.hardwick@ntlworld.com.
