ALTRINCHAM Grammar School for Girls head of teaching school, Lisa Fathers, is to join the Youth Sport direct board as a trustee
Lisa is also head of the Alliance for Learning Teaching School and Bright Futures Educational Trust co-principal.
She joins the board as the only school serving board member, her wealth of experience across the educational and commercial sectors will add a valuable perspective to the organisation.
Lisa is currently a Headteacher Ambassador for the Youth Sport trust and co-chairs the Strategic Headteacher Alliance in Greater Manchester for Physical Activity.
As a board member Lisa will be heavily involved in shaping future strategies of the commercial arm of Youth Sport Trust, Youth Sport Direct as it continues to expand across the UK and internationally.
Speaking of her new appointment, Lisa said: “I am passionate about the Youth Sport Trust’s mission and delighted to be involved in the commercial aspect of the work”.
Baroness Sue Campbell said “We are delighted to have Lisa on board, her energy, vision and expertise will no doubt be invaluable”.
Lisa will be joining The Youth Sport Trust at its national conference at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry on March 3, where hundreds of Headteachers and PE staff will gather to discuss the latest developments in PE and sport and will hear from a range of inspirational speakers.
