THE Village Osteopaths in Timperley Village, has raised £264 for JDRF – The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
The fundraiser, held on December 12, raised money through donations given for osteopathic consultations, 10 minute massages, a cake sale and a raffle.
JDRF funds various research projects to find a cure for type 1 diabetes.
Collette Nelstrop, principal osteopath, said: “It was a fantastic day enjoyed by everyone and it really caps off a successful second year for us.
“We’re a family owned clinic and finding a cure for type 1 diabetes is close to our hearts because our daughter is a type 1 diabetic.
“It was our second Birthday – having opened in November 2013 – and we have raised money for different local charities in the past so we wanted to shift focus this time and help a cause close to our hearts.”
