A RAPIST who filmed himself attacking a woman at knifepoint at a Broadheath house has been jailed.

Hesam Khosravi, 24, of no fixed address, is said to have committed the offence while a young child was in the house.

He was sentenced to six years imprisonment at Minshull Street Crown Court today and placed on the Sex Offenders Register for life.

He had admitted two counts of rape at an earlier hearing.

On April 18 2012, the victim called police and reported being raped a few days earlier, telling officers that the offender had filmed the attack.

Khosravi was arrested shortly afterwards and an iPad was seized from his car.

Sixteen home-made videos were found on the device following analysis by Greater Manchester Police’s High Tech Crime Unit, all of which were created between 00:45am and 01:02am on the April 14 2012.

Various parts of the video explicitly show Khosravi raping the woman, who is described as being ‘distressed and sobbing throughout’.

The footage also shows him armed with a knife and laughing at various points.

The victim was also assaulted throughout the ordeal.

Det Con Pat Finnigan, from the Serious Sexual Offences Unit, said: “The victim was put through a terrifying and degrading ordeal, the effects of which will stay with her for the rest of her life.

“Over a relatively prolonged period, Khosravi physically and sexually attacked his victim, leaving her in fear for her life.

“That he committed these acts with a young child present at the address is all the more shocking.

“So brazen and unrepentant was he about what he was doing he filmed large extracts of the offence and can even be heard laughing at times.

“The footage we recovered from the iPad is some of the most distressing evidence I have ever seen and shows firsthand just how dangerous a man Khosravi is.”
