Shoppers meet life-sized toy dog Jack
HALE Civic Society built on the success of their May community event - All Aboard Hale 150 - by celebrating Civic Day in a number of ways.
Members of Jabberwocks introduced the society’s dog, a life-sized toy Jack Russell known as Jack - to shoppers along Ashley Road Hale.
Jack was taken on a walk through Hale and visited shops, restaurants, the library and even the vets.
Jack was welcomed everywhere he went, patted and made a fuss of, pictured.
Hale Civic society and Jabberwocks took part in other events to celebrate Civic Day. There was a tidy up around Hale station, wildflower plantings, putting together the All Aboard photographic exhibition and heritage walks around Peel Causeway and in HaleCroft Park.
