A PROFESSIONAL actress who became disillusioned with show business is opening an ‘upcycling’ furniture business in Urmston.
Susie Milner, owner of Retro Kollekto, said she drifted into sales after quitting acting, but after three redundancies in two years, she decided it was time to ‘get back into the creative world’.
Susie said: “Vintage is something I have always had a passion about and so I have combined my love of all things vintage with my artistic side and I am launching my new business very soon.”
The former actress sources vintage furniture from the l community and creates ‘unique statement pieces’ at her home studio, using environmentally friendly paints.
Susie added: “Although I do not have any immediate plans for a shop, if it is successful then I would love to add to Urmston's growing independent retailing community.
