POLICE are appealing for help after three masked raiders robbed a women at her home in Hale Barns.
The woman was at her home on Rydal Drive, when she heard a loud noise, which she assumed at the time, to be the return of her husband.
According to police, when she went downstairs where she was confronted by three masked men, who forced her into the kitchen.
Two of the thieves then went upstairs to search the property, while the third stayed and forced jewellery from the woman.
The offender continued, despite the woman’s attempts to defend herself, before leaving with the other two men in the house, getting into a car, and driving down Hale Road.
One of the offenders is described as mixed race, and the other two are described as white, all in their late teens, and were wearing masks and gloves.
Detective Constable Paul Walls of GMP’s Trafford borough said: “These men went into a family home and left them in complete shock after what must have been a terrifying attack.
“They took their jewellery and valuables, but these men have also taken this family’s ability to feel safe and secure in their own home.
“At this time of day, the road would have been busy with people returning from work, so I’m urging anyone who may have seen anything to please come forward.”
Police who issued the appeal last Friday say the robbery occurred at approximately 7pm on Thursday, June 29.
