Cllr John Smith
A CONTROVERSIAL councillor who left the Labour group to join the Conservatives last year has resigned from Trafford Council.
Cllr John Smith has stood down from his Bucklow St Martins seat, after 10 years on the council.
He said: "I have enjoyed every minute of it and I hope I have been of some use."
There will be a by-election in the ward.
