POP star Jona Lewie is to headline the Hale Barns Christmas Concert.
The 1980s star, whose had a big hit with the Christmas classic 'Stop the Cavalry' in 1980, will perform at the show in Holy Angels Church on December 17.
As well as 'Stop the Cavalry' his set will include the hit 'You'll Always find me in the Kitchen at Parties'.
It will be his only festive performance in the North of England following a London Wembley Arena concert a few days earlier.
Joining Lewie for this festive spectacular will be a selection of the best local artists including teen soprano Scarlett Quigley, who wowed audiences at the Hale Barns Carnival in July.
The beautiful sound of the Di Voci ladies choir will be present at event along with the Festival Chamber Orchestra, with St Ambrose Choir and Kaleidoscope Big Band completing the line up.
There are also a number of special surprises planned for the concert but organiser Max Eden is keeping those tightly under wraps until the big night.
Max said: "This has to be the perfect Christmas concert line up for the whole family to enjoy, to have Jona Lewie perform in Hale Barns is a real honour just days after his show at Wembley Arena in London, performing in the village alongside our amazing local talent.
"It's going to sound like Christmas should."
The concert takes place on Sunday, December 17 at 7pm after free outdoor events going on in the village on the Sunday which includes more than 35 gift, craft and food stalls, children's rides, a visit from Santa Claus and a free firework display sponsored by Sunrise Senior Living.
Tickets for the evening concert are on sale for £20 for adults and £10 for children under 16, available online at halebarnscarnival.co.uk and through See Tickets.
All money raised goes to funding the new community hall in Hale Barns with over £200,000 already raised, the project hopes to break ground next year.
