WALKERS met in Davyhulme Park for the Urmston Memory Walk on Sunday December 3 to raise money to help sufferers from Alzheimer’s.
Cllr Joanne Harding and Claire Foster from The Steam House Urmston organised the event which raised £200 for Trafford Alzheimer’s Society.
There was a large turn-out of walkers of all ages in support of the event.
Cllr Harding, who represents the Urmston Ward, said: “It was a really family-friendly event and we were even joined by some very special elves and Father Christmas himself”
"There was a lovely feel to the day and clearly this is an issue that matters to people.
“We want to make this an annual event for the community to enjoy. A special thank-you needs to go out to the Friends of Davyhulme Park and Bowling Club and also to the Steamhouse Pub.”
