SIXTH Form students at Flixton Girls School, led by Freya Ashcroft, Hannan Kenyon-Land and Lily Bettridge, have co-ordinated a Christmas Shoe Box Appeal on behalf of Manchester Street Angels.
The Shoe Box Appeal is for the homeless currently on the streets of Manchester at this festive time.
The appeal is being run by Manchester Street Angels and there are a variety of drop off points all over the city and surrounding suburbs.
A reverse advent calendar appeal was put in place as a way of asking students and staff to contribute items for the shoe boxes.
Freya and Hannah visited forms in both the sixth form and main school to promote the appeal and ensure all students and staff knew about it. .
Freya said: "I always thought that somebody should do something to help and then I realised that I was that somebody."
