Almost 200 Santas from across the globe - including Old Trafford - recently put on their running shoes to raise more than £8,000 for the PHMG Foundation.
Employees from audio branding agency PHMG hit the streets for a series of Santa Dashes – in Manchester, Chicago, London, Boston, Texas, Toronto and New York City – organised by the company’s official charity.
All funds raised from the festive five-kilometre fun runs will be donated to the Christie and the American Cancer Society.
The Christmas charitable bonanza was supplemented by a company-wide gift drive as part of the Salvation Army’s Christmas Present Appeal, which will see presents given to children and teenagers who might not otherwise receive one.
“Aside from fun and celebrations, Christmas is a time for giving back to those who need it,” said Chris Berisford, PHMG Foundation Trustee.
“Employees across all of our offices fully embrace the festive spirit year after year and are so generous with their donations and time.
“Our Santa Dash was a huge success while the receptions in our Manchester and Chicago offices were filled with more gifts than we’ve ever seen before – a great sight to behold.”
Staff have participated in more than 150 events over the past five years to raise more than £250,000 for almost 50 different charitable organisations. This was done under the banner of the company’s own charity, the PHMG Foundation.
