PROPOSALS for the new Hale community centre and library will be on display at Hale Library, Leigh Road, Hale from Saturday January 20 until Saturday February 3.
Local residents can view the proposals for the exterior and interior of the building that will comprise a library, café, bowling club facilities, space for senior citizens and meeting rooms.
Members of Hale Community Trust who have been a driving force behind the plans, along with developers Hillcrest Homes, architects Calderpeel and Hale Library service will be available at specific dates and times to explain the proposals and answer any questions.
Representatives will be present on the following dates and times:
Saturday January 20 – 10am to 4pm
Tuesday January 23 – 10am to 7pm
Thursday January 25 – 10am to 5pm
Grahame Elliott, Chairman of Hale Community Trust said: “We hope that residents will take the time to visit the Library and have their say on the proposals. We are confident that the new community centre and library will be a huge benefit to the local community and businesses in Hale."
As well as the development plans, the display will also show proposals for the branding and name of the new Hale community centre and library.
Two planning applications for the proposed development have now been submitted by Hillcrest Homes, Hale Community Trust and Trafford Borough Council using local architects, Calderpeel.
The deadline for comments and responses is Wednesday January 25 and details of the planning applications can be found via the council website: publicaccess.trafford.gov.uk/online-applications/
Applications reference numbers are 93172 and 93173. Comments and responses can be lodged directly with Trafford Council via the portal.
A final decision on the planning applications is expected in early February 2018.
