URMSTON’S Dorothy let rip and had fun as she wowed judges with her latest “knockout” performance.
Danielle Hope, 18, got rave reviews after singing Mambo Italiano on the BBC1 show Over the Rainbow on Saturday night.
Lord Andrew Lloyd-Webber said it was a “fantastic performance” and he was proud of her and praised Danielle for using her eyes and showing the humour.
He explained to the audience that most performers would have pre-recorded the song and just performed the dance routine live but that Danielle had done it all and said he couldn’t thank her enough.
Charlotte Church said she hadn’t stopped smiling throughout the whole performance.
“You were on fire. I absolutely loved that performance,” she said.
Sheila Hancock praised Danielle’s ability to assume a character and said she lived her role.
“You let rip and you had fun and you went mad.
“It’s a silly song and you were silly and it was lovely,” she said.
John Partridge said: “To think three months ago you were a girl who had never been in an audition before. To give a performance like that is truly sensational.”
Danielle said it was her favourite performance so far and was “buzzing” after the show.
