URMSTON'S singing sensation Danielle Hope is Over the Rainbow after winning the BBC1 talent show.
The 18-year-old was chosen by the public yesterday to win the show and the coveted role of Dorothy in a new West End production of The Wizard of Oz.
Danielle, who was chosen out of 9,000 hopefuls to be in the final 10 on the show, survived two public votes in the final to beat fellow finalists Sophie Evans and Lauren Samuels.
The Knutsford High School student and former Highfield Primary School pupil said: "I really, really don't think a thank you is enough. For the amazing public and everyone who comes to support us every week and the girls.
"Thank you and it comes from the heart for this amazing opportunity."
Lord Andrew Lloyd-Webber, who called Danielle "extraordinary" and "rare" after last week's semi-final performance, said: "I'm really pleased with result. You're a fantastic, talented kid.
"The nation hasn't got it wrong yet. My goodness me, you can act from the soul, and that's very, very special."
As well performing on the West End, Danielle will also release Over the Rainbow as a single with proceeds going to Prostate UK.
