ON Saturday Sale will be twinned with Team USA to celebrate the football being held at Old Trafford as part of the Olympics.
Community groups and businesses are coming together to make an event - 'Sale Welcomes the World' - not to be missed in the town centre.
The celebrations will include the very best of young artistic talent, singing and dancing in Town Square, organised by Gorse Hill Music Studios.
A balloon modeller and face painter will be entertaining the little ones. Sale United Football Club will be holding a football target wall competition at Waterside Plaza. There will be plenty of football prizes, including tickets to the USA v’s Korea match at Old Trafford.
Businesses will be supporting the day with special offers to their customers and dressing their businesses in the stars and stripes and union flag.
Chris Stout, chair of the Sale Town Partnership, said, “I’m sure this event will demonstrate just how much can be achieved when businesses and the community come together to celebrate our town centres as the hub of our community. I’d like to thank everyone for getting on board.”
The event is organised by Sale Town Partnership and supported by the Square Shopping Centre, Sale United FC and Trafford Council.
