TEENAGE Sale fighter Dakota Ditcheva has become British champion at the Muay Thai Tanko Main Event.
The 17-year-old beat Bolton's Emma Bragg inside two rounds to clinch the ISKA 50.5kg British Championship.
The Main Event is the UK’s annual premier Muay Thai showcase and some of the world’s best Muay Thai stars took to the ring on a thrilling evening of international bouts, which saw two major titles change hands.
Northern Spirit fighter Ditcheva landed a series of unforgiving knee combinations in round one, which saw Bragg receive counts to eight twice before continuing.
Ditcheva’s success came early in the second round following another knee strike to Bragg’s ribs.
Reflecting on her title win, Ditcheva said: “I’m very happy, the adrenaline is still going.
"I’m getting better each time and it’s all moving along fast.
"I’m trying to keep busy with all the fights.”
