TRAFFORD Athletic Club hosted its annual awards evening to celebrate the achievement of its under-17, u20 and senior athletes.
With 19 awards on offer there was chance to honour successes in track, field, road and cross country.
Trafford AC has a proud history of developing world-class talent and has seen more than 100 of its athletes compete at international level, which has included appearances at the Commonwealth Games, World Championships and the Olympics.
A number of the club’s current international athletes were present at the awards ceremony to show their support for their training partners and friends.
A special presentation was made to Andy Steele (British 400m runner), who has belatedly been awarded an Olympic bronze medal for being part of the 4x400m team at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
Seren Bundy-Davis (400m) was awarded Athlete of the Year for her appearance at this year’s Rio Olympics.
