Organisers of this year’s Adidas Manchester Marathon are looking for volunteers in Trafford to help this year’s event be a success.
Taking place on Sunday, April 14 the marathon is the UK’s biggest and most popular on outside of London, due to its fast, flat course and the unrivalled supporting and welcoming atmosphere.
And organisers are on the lookout for local volunteers to support the 32,000 participants taking to the streets of Trafford and Manchester to achieve their goal of running a marathon, while raising vital funds for charity.
Last year’s Adidas Manchester Marathon raised more than £2.8 million for 634 local and national charities - and they hope to raise even more this time around.
Volunteers fill a variety of roles which could include helping greet arriving runners, assisting with bag drop, managing the starts, marshalling along the running route, handing out water, cheering runners to the finish or handing out those well-earned medals.
