Trafford Handball Club is celebrating after its boys’ Under-18 team won silver medals at the Paris World Games.
After beating Brienne in the group stage, victory over another French team, ES Chaussin/Dole, in the play-offs took them to the final.
There they were beaten by Austrian club HSG Aargau Ost.
But their achievements were still notable.
The Trafford team were coached by former GB Under-20s player Yebila Collins.
THC CEO, Stan Belinski, who established the club in 2018, said: “I can’t describe how proud we are of our boys for the fight and all the hard work they put in.
“These are Trafford’s first international wins, and even though we lost the final game I feel like we are the biggest winners here.”
