AFTER giving valuable training to the judo teams from Thailand and the Southern Islands prior to the Olympic Games, coaches and players from Trafford and South Manchester were again in action preparing teams for the Paralympics.
The George Carnall Centre in Davyhulme provided the facilities for the Brazil and Thai players as they were given a thorough work out and preparation for their big contests to come.
Coach Steve Pullen, from Chorlton, was leading the training and he said: “The Brazil team consists of five men and five women and their look to be several medal prospects in their ranks and they enjoyed working with our local stars.
“The Thai team has Sahas Sri Jarling as their lone player and he too has been working hard in the hopes of picking up a medal.
“To have our players, coaches and facility used by top players is a tribute to the high standards we set ourselves in this area.”
