WHERE and when does the trick or treat season end?
If someone knows then please could they inform parking attendants?
On Sunday afternoon at 2.45pm I took my eldest son to the leisure centre for his first swimming lesson which started at 3pm - a very proud moment in any parent's life.
I parked in a space between two other cars and then I enjoyed an hour in the leisure centre.
We wandered back to the car, chatting about how well he had done, but imagine my horror when I noticed a parking ticket had been issued.
What were the reasons for issuing said ticket ?
1 - Double parked' - how can that be as I had parked between two other cars?
2. Not a user of the leisure centre'.
Luckily I have evidence as to my whereabouts and the staff at the leisure centre have plenty of commonsense as a quick phone call to the leisure centre has the matter sorted.
I felt sorry for the receptionist at the leisure centre too, as my complaint met with a sigh that clearly meant Oh no, not again'.
So come on Trafford council, now it is up to you - the car park is a mess, poorly surfaced and the white lining is non-existent. If you want to police parking properly sort the car parks out, put parking meters in and educate the wardens you employ. Warning to drivers and users of the leisure centre - make sure you get a receipt from reception.
