I wondered if anyone can tell us why the police failed us over the weekend and allowed all the shop fronts to be vandalised and smashed and why the cameras are just pointing on the banks in the area and not on all the shops on Flixton Road and Station Road?

What are we paying our council tax and rates for, if the police are not patrolling the area properly?

A local firm on Church Road was broken into on the morning od Saturday November 4 and the police still hadn't arrived by Monday lunchtime. Do they not care? Why is this being allowed to happen?

What is happening to Urmston? Why are we being let down by the system and delinquents who don't have the intelligence to know what they are doing to their community.

Business owners' insurance premiums will be affected by this, but do the delinquents care? No, they don't. They should be caught, punished and their parents should pay for the damage.

Additionally, why are we constantly paying for the repair of bus stops being smashed as opposed to replacing them with uPVC or metal so it is harder to vandalise?

I would like Bev Hughes and the Chief Constable of GMP to reply to my questions and give me some answers. Why are there no police patrolling Urmston at night, why are gangs of delinquents being allowed to intimidate residents and shoppers in Urmston and get away with it? Something has to be done otherwise we may as well live in Salford or Moss Side!!
