Simple question. I would appreciate a simple answer.

Please would someone from the Government/NHS/local health authority/local health centre, please explain, in layman’s terms, why we, ‘Joe Public’ are unable to access an appointment (without extreme difficulty), with our local GP?

My daughter phoned her GP surgery (two minutes away) on Friday to be told: ‘We are accepting no more appointments today’.

She had to travel to Westhoughton to see an ‘emergency doctor’ (who was wonderful) and who thankfully prescribed much needed antibiotics.

Simple question, simple answers. I won’t hold my breath for a truthful response.
