I'm sure if the M60 motorway did not run alongside the Trafford Centre, Peel Holdings would continue to expand its empire right across the borough.
Frenzied building work has been taking place ever since the first brick was laid, and continues today, regardless of the chaos or disruption caused to those living in the path of the developments.
Driving to the Trafford Centre these days is more or less a cavalry charge, especially with the already inadequte overladen road network system, drivers have no room to manoeuvre, packed like sardines in a tin, you might as well be driving on the grand prix circuit as on a public highway.
To sum up the Trafford Centre in a nutshell, it's a mad, mad, mad, world, and the Trafford Centre has it all, including the traffic.
