The Borough of Trafford having hosted the annual marathon for many years is surely due a rest.

It is not called the Manchester Marathon for nothing. So might it not be a good idea to spread it around the GMC area in future?

Mayor Burnham being very big on equality, I would have thought he would have brought his influence to bear and routed it possibly around Leigh and Wigan, Bolton maybe, Stockport also, even Manchester city area itself.

We residents living in certain parts of Sale are annually kept prisoner in our houses on this day, with no means of using our vehicles to escape to anywhere outside the sterile zone. I live in hope.
